Manuel Mattheisen


Associate Professor Manuel Mattheisen is working at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University as part of the Lundbeck Foundation Initiative for Integrative Psychiatric Research (iPSYCH). He is a physician by training, and has a strong background in genetic epidemiology, biostatistics and molecular genetics. A major focus of his research work is psychiatric genetics. His work so far has led to identification of disease causing genetic variation in a variety of disorders, including schizophrenia, alcohol dependency, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and major depressive disorder.
