Study: Immigrants with PTSD

Have you experienced traumatic events and need help processing them? Researchers at Karolinska Institutet are conducting a study testing an online psychological treatment in simple English for immigrants experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The treatment is evidence-based and free of charge.

About the Treatment

  • The treatment is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and lasts for 8 weeks.
  • It is entirely online, with regular written contact with a licensed psychologist.
  • All information you share is confidential.

Who Can Participate?
You can take part in the study if you:

  • Are an immigrant living in Sweden (e.g., refugee or someone who has moved here; a residence permit is not required).
  • Have experienced a traumatic event and feel affected by memories of it, or find it limits your everyday life.
  • Are 18 years of age or older.
  • Can read and understand basic English.
  • Have access to a computer or smartphone with an internet connection.
