Mia Asplund’s research project about internet treatment for trichotillomania and dermatillomania receives a grant of 100 000 SEK from Fonden för Psykisk Hälsa (Mental Health Fund).
Trichotillomania and dermatillomania are two syndroms characterized by an excessive picking of hair or skin and is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) among others.
Currently, the project is collecting data for follow-up for the pilot study. The succeeding RCT is being planned and will hopefully start in the fourth quarter of 2021.
