Sofia is a Lic. Psychologist and PhD student at Karolinska Institutet and the OCD-programme at Psykiatri sydväst. Her research focus is Hoarding disorder.
She is currently conducting a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to investigate whether home visits from in-home declutterers
(outreach housing support provided by the social services) enhance the effectiveness of group cognitive-behavioral therapy for individuals with hoarding disorder. The trial also includes implementation research through a process evaluation, as well as a qualitative assessment on participants’ experience of receiving the interventions. The studies are a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm’s healthcare services and the municipality of Stockholm.
Sofia’s main supervisor is Volen Ivanov, with co-supervisors Christian Rück, Lorena Fernandez de la Cruz, and Erik Andersson.
